Tony Clay, the current owner of Legacy Towing and Recovery LLC, founded the business in late 2018 along with his friend, Darrell Blake, to pay homage to the memory of his late father and brother. Unfortunately, like many small businesses, the COVID-19 pandemic took its toll on their operations. In the summer of 2020, Tony moved from Arizona to Iowa, where Tony continued to run the business on his own, keeping the legacy of his loved ones alive.

Tony's passion and dedication to the towing industry are deeply rooted in his family history. He comes from a lineage of tow truck operators and service station operators, with both his grandfather and father being a part of the same industry. Growing up, he learned the tricks of the trade by observing his elders and imbibed valuable lessons from them.
